This is a remote position for Costa Rica and Colombia
This position is Remote to work with a US Company; you will require to have Citizenship or a work permit from Costa Rica or Colombia to apply for this role.
Description:
The Sr. IT Implementation Engineer role will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the reliability of our systems, with a focus on Azure environments and on-premises IT infrastructure. This individual will play a key role in planning and managing cloud migrations, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing best practices for system performance and reliability. We are a fast growing and fast paced organization, so this individual will need to be reliable and self-motivated with an ability to get tasks done on time with minimal supervision.
Essential Job Functions:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and support on-premise systems, ensuring seamless integration with cloud services.
- Plan and execute cloud migration projects, minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
- Respond to and resolve incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
- Contribute to the administration and development of multiple projects, tracking project deliverables using appropriate tools and reporting on progress.
Essential Job Skills:
- Proven experience in supporting and building out Azure environments, troubleshooting on-premise IT infrastructure, and managing cloud migrations.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Server Environments
- Solid networking and system administration – Understanding of network switches, routers, and firewalls is required
- Microsoft Entra ID / Microsoft 365 Administration experience required
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work on a flexible work schedule, and travel 30% of the time, as the job requires
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of Azure Engineering experience covering Azure services and infrastructure as a service
- Proficient with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Power Automate)
- Ideal certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOPs Engineer Expert
