Role summary
You will deliver enterprise VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) consulting services, helping customers design, implement, and modernize private cloud infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in VMware technologies, strong consulting skills, and the ability to lead customer-facing infrastructure transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments for enterprise clients.
• Lead customer workshops to gather technical requirements and define infrastructure solutions.
• Deploy and configure VMware Cloud Foundation components, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Implement and support vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, and SDDC Manager environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform, PowerCLI, Ansible, Python, or similar tools.
• Configure and support VMware Aria Operations and Aria Automation solutions.
• Deploy and integrate VMware AVI Load Balancer and Kubernetes platforms such as Tanzu or VKS when applicable.
• Implement VMware security solutions, including vDefend and NSX Security.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide technical guidance throughout implementation projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Document solution architectures, implementation procedures, and operational best practices.
• Stay current on VMware Cloud Foundation releases and emerging technologies.

Requirements – Must-haves

• Proven hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), including VCF 5.x and/or VCF 9.
• Strong expertise with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Experience administering and implementing SDDC Manager.
• Hands-on experience with VMware NSX and vSAN.
• Experience with VMware Aria Operations (vROps) and/or Aria Automation.
• Experience automating VMware environments using Terraform, PowerCLI, Ansible, Python, or similar tools.
• Experience implementing enterprise VMware infrastructure solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure architecture skills.
• Customer-facing consulting, implementation, or solution architecture experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-haves (optional)

• Experience with VMware AVI Load Balancer.
• Experience with VMware Tanzu, VKS, or Kubernetes platforms.
• Experience with VMware vDefend or NSX Security.
• VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP, VCDX, or VMware Cloud Foundation certifications.
• Experience with enterprise cloud modernization and hybrid cloud environments.
