This position is Remote to work with a US Company; you will require to have Citizenship or a work permit from Costa Rica to apply for this role.
Role summary
You will support and operate enterprise data center infrastructure as part of a long-term, staff-augmentation engagement with a US-based client. This role focuses on compute, storage, networking, backup, and virtualization platforms to ensure stability, performance, and scalability following a workforce reduction.
Responsibilities
Administer and support data center infrastructure components across compute, storage, and networking.
Manage and maintain Cisco UCS environments, including hardware, profiles, and firmware.
Configure, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus data center switches.
Support enterprise storage platforms, including Pure Storage arrays.
Administer backup and data protection solutions using Cohesity.
Manage VMware environments, including ESXi hosts, clusters, and virtual machines.
Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; recommend improvements.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents and escalations.
Collaborate with internal IT teams to support ongoing operations and infrastructure initiatives.
Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and operational standards.
Participate in infrastructure planning, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
Requirements – Must-haves
Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role.
Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS compute environments.
Strong knowledge of Cisco Nexus data center switching.
Experience supporting Pure Storage platforms.
Hands-on experience with Cohesity backup and data protection solutions.
Solid experience administering VMware environments (ESXi, vCenter).
Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, network, and virtualization layers.
Ability to operate in a production, enterprise data center environment.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as part of a long-term staff augmentation engagement.
Nice-to-haves (optional)
Experience with infrastructure migrations or post-reduction stabilization efforts.
Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity practices.
Experience with automation or scripting for infrastructure tasks.
Relevant vendor certifications (Cisco, VMware, storage platforms).
